Some had amazing results. Some found it intolerable even in tiny doses. I got some small tabs direct from Japan, maybe amazon or eBay. One tab gave me an immediate and intense frontal headache. I did cut the tabs and do1/4 for awhile. I have since learned a few things. The probiotic also produces acetic acid in high quantity. I’m am pretty majorly sensitive to chemicals, odors after I lived in a moldy house two decades ago. The moldy house set off a chain of issues such as periodontal disease, chemical sensitivities, that would get worsen in times of major exposure to environmental triggers like mold and cyanobacteria in bodies of water. Like tremors, breathlessness, sciatic pain, headaches. Facial prickling. And mood would dive. Anyway I’m interested in what families with autism have to say because it seems to have some commonalities with the group who are dealing with immune dysfunction et al from mold exposure and with the CFS community. I’m two weeks into a different probiotic that that specifically targets H pylori. It’s not just in the gut. It’s been found in many places in the body often associated with yeast. In the sinus it slows the cilia, produces ammonia locally, causes large amounts of mucus blocks things up, and sets the the sinus up for invasion by other pathogens. Reservoirs in tonsils sinus, ears can reinfect the stomach after bombing with antibiotics, and vice versa. It has been found in vagina with yeast biofilm, breast ducts. Many other places than the stomach. Since have been dealing with tonsillitis since childhood and now the periodontal disease (highly associated with h pylori) I decided to try this probiotic Gastricell discovered inJapan. It was immediately soothing but I noticed after awhile I felt like I was getting mold hits after a dose. I realize I am feeling it in my sinuses, around my eye sockets. It’s mild, tolerable though. I’t probably chipping away at whatever is in my sinuses I that objects to Miyarisan ratherbedigginghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12813606906854553352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-655962722302095847.post-31706439028238266212015-12-23T03:56:33.544+01:002015-12-23T03:56:33.544+01:00The miyairi probiotic bacteria is also available I...The miyairi probiotic bacteria is also available In Amazon

...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FQUNB0/ref=pd_luc_rh_top_sim_04_02_t_img_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-655962722302095847.post-85941280564381559312015-04-19T09:19:06.182+02:002015-04-19T09:19:06.182+02:00It certainly is worthy of investigation. It certainly is worthy of investigation.Peter Lloyd-Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10173383229834614994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-655962722302095847.post-50144280356696376462015-04-18T23:46:09.984+02:002015-04-18T23:46:09.984+02:00Not really, but sometimes the smallish changes hav...Not really, but sometimes the smallish changes have a great impact.
I should point that I read the sfari news differently. I read it as the more butyric acid the mice produced, the bigger social indifference towards others (and not as a good thing).
João Santos
On the other hand, Its only a mice model of autism and not a very realistic one (valproic acid in utero exposure doesn't strike me as very likely in my son or any other I know about). As for calcium-magnesium butyrate (they call it a "complex", but it appears to be a mixture of calcium butyrate and magnesium butyrate), you get both calcium and magnesium as cations.
We want Butyric Acid and it only uses the anion from the salt (butyrate).
I always keep sodium at a safe distance so I will give the calcium-magnesium butyrate "complex" a shot.
João SantosAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-655962722302095847.post-28015203789371634582015-04-18T10:55:31.686+02:002015-04-18T10:55:31.686+02:00Hi João,
Good question, and the same one appears ...Hi João,

Good question, and the same one appears on some Ulcerative Colitis forums. The answer is that the successful research was done using sodium butyrate, as is the large scale commercialization of this science (for animals).

Here is a link to the promo website of one animal feed additive:-

http://www.novyrate-gut-integrity.com/

One issue is taste and smell. Butyrate compounds do not smell good. This has been solved by the animal feed people, buy making tiny granules that are coated and some are even extended release.

It may be that calcium magnesium butyrate is equally effective, but it seems wise to start with the compound that was tested.

The cleverest solution is probably the bacteria, so that you make your own butyrate. I suppose the animal feed people choose the most effective solution, for the least cost.
